People have used haircuts to commemorate and signify life's transitions in different cultures for ages. From birth to death, hair was seen as a sacred extension of the self as well as a connection to the universe.

I continue this lost-art of haircutting ritual to commemorate you becoming your next version of self. To honor and lovingly let go of the parts that have served you but you're ready to part with. In a transformation that is visible on the outer, with an intention set for the new version of you evolving on the inner.

My Background and Experience

I bring my decades-long experience as a stylist in high-end salons and an educator (6 years at Bumble Bumble, NYC). Since 2013, I’ve continued the work outside of salon environments in a ceremonial setting. 

Intentions for your ceremonial haircut can include:

  • Releasing old relationships

  • Energetic clearing

  • Celebrating a new chapter of life

  • Shift in your identity and self belief

  • Honoring a spiritual cause

  • Grieving the death of relatives

  • Metaphorical cutting cord

*Your cut hair will be saved for you to release it back to earth in the way you want. Some ideas include burying or sprinkling it in the forest or making art.

Duration: 2 to 3 Hours

Fee: Starts at $275 USD

Upon request, our ceremony can be accompanied by healing sounds and cacao.
